Before we begin, I'm a Korean husband of a foreign wife from outside the country.

Since my wife's Korean is not good enough when it comes to professional conversations in Korean,

we've tried to find a English speaking maternity (OBGYN) clinic around Seoul and finally we got a good one.

I hope this post help people such like us and also I'm going to show you how to claim the insurance money in this post only if you have a Korean personal health insurance.

The Hospital i'm going to recommend you is Houm OB/GYN Clinic where is within one minute of Seoul Nat'l Univ. of Education station(교대역).

What my wife likes the most from this clinic is you can choose either a male or female doctor who speaks English well.

Once you get to the Seoul National University of Education Station(교대역), go out through exit. 13.

Walk down the street a little bit from the exit.13 and then you can find Houm OB/GYN CLINIC(호움산부인과의원) on the Second floor of the Building named LOTTE CASTLE MEDICI

Go left from the main entrance and there will be a registration.

Most of the staff members speak English and kind to customer so you don't have to worry about speaking Korean.

How to claim the insurance money ? (only for those who have a korean private personal insurance)

Step 1. Keep your receipt. (Do not throw it away!)

Step 2. If the cost is over 100,000 won then ask them a Medical Certificate(진단서) which is you have to pay extra 20,000 won.

Exception: even if it's below 100,000 won, you might need a medical certificate depends on either your insurance company's policy or a kind of clinic you are going to (e.g. Maternity, Urology and etc..)

**My wife's insurance company is Samsung Fire Insurace (삼성화재)**

FYI

Korean people use Kakao Map and Naver Map instead of Google map which doesn't work proprerly in Korea.
